Forever Young BBL Photo Facial

The BBL Hero photofacial helps turn back the visible signs of aging anywhere on the body to promote clearer, smoother and more youthful skin. The light energy delivered by BBL will gently heat the upper layers of skin in the targeted area and absorbs to stimulate your skin cells to regenerate. The BBL Hero is used to treat aging skin and sun damage on shoulders, arms, back, neck, chest, legs and hands, unsightly veins, body acne, and loss of firmness and pigmentation. The new hand piece modality treats your skin up to 4x faster, produces better results in fewer treatment sessions, and is a more comfortable experience with an easier healing period.

What is a Forever Young BBL treatment?

BBL, or broad band light, also known as IPL, or intense pulsed light, is a versatile treatment that can improve a range of issues on the face, hands, neck, chest, legs, arms and back including brown spots, broken capillaries, and rosacea. The energy stimulates collagen and elastin production, which may help improve reduce fine lines and shrink enlarged pores. BBL can actually slow down the aging process by restoring the gene expression of damaged skin… which means your skin’s DNA cells will actually act YOUNGER! An excellent treatment for those wanting to turn back the years and with active-lifestyles. Skin should absolutely NOT be tanned by the sun or self-tanner for at least 4 weeks before receiving a BBL treatment.

  • IPL/BBL is best used to attack brown pigment in the skin, helping to reduce sunspots and hyperpigmentation. It’s also effective at reducing redness caused by broken capillaries, rosacea, and general facial flushing—something only a few other light-based modalities can do.
  • It’s often less expensive than other light-based devices and lasers that treat the same conditions. However, multiple sessions are usually required for the best results; especially for those with more severe sun damage or darker skin types.
  • Recovery time is minimal, and you usually can return to your routine immediately after your treatment.

What can you expect after Forever Young BBL?

Your skin may be pink for a few hours or the rest of the day, but you should be able to go back to your regular activities or work. You’ll be able to apply moisturizer, sunscreen, and makeup immediately after the treatment.

One to seven days post-treatment, pigmented spots will appear to rise to the surface of your skin—the brown, freckled areas can look like coffee grounds or dirt—before fading a one to three weeks later. Your skin may feel flushed and hypersensitive for a couple days following, so treat it gently until you’re completely healed. Avoid sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or greater on the treatment area at all times. At 2 weeks post treatment, you can receive an exfoliating and hydrating treatment such as Dermal Infusion (Diamond Glow) to help complement results, improve treatment outcome and speed up recovery time.

Halo Fractional Laser

The Halo hybrid fractional laser combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths that simultaneously target the top layer of your skin and the deeper tissue underneath the surface, for a powerful skin rejuvenation treatment.

It’s considered a second-generation laser—an improvement on previous lasers, which require more treatments and more downtime to achieve the same type of results you can get with one Halo treatment.

What are the benefits of Halo Laser?

Halo’s two wavelengths simultaneously repair visible signs of aging and sun damage—discoloration, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone—on your skin’s surface while heating the tissue below the surface to stimulate collagen production for firmer, smoother skin over time.

Your provider can dial up or down each wavelength, making it more or less aggressive, depending on your skin’s needs and the amount of downtime you can take. By combining the two wavelengths, we minimize the healing time and maximize the results.

  • You get the effects of both a non-ablative and ablative laser in just one treatment, improving both the epidermal and dermal layers of the skin.
  • There’s less downtime than other lasers with comparable results. You will have some redness and swelling for a few days, but many patients take only one day off from work—much less than the two weeks it can take to recover from some resurfacing lasers.
  • You’ll see initial results—a youthful glow and more even skin—in as few as five to seven days.
  • The long-term results can last years (with good skin care and sun protection).
  • Halo’s settings are highly customizable, making it one of the safest laser treatments for dark skin. It’s also the laser of choice for treating melasma and other types of hyperpigmentation.

Who’s a good candidate for Halo laser?

The ideal candidate for Halo laser is someone who wants to treat the signs of sun damage, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and texture issues. It’s typically used on the face, neck, décolletage, arms, hands, and legs.

How soon will you see Halo laser results?

Because the Halo laser delivers two different wavelengths of light, you’ll see results in two phases. Short-term results appear within five to seven days. Longer-term results appear over six to eight weeks as you begin to see improvements in the texture of your skin and pores, and full potential treatment outcome is about 6-8 months from your last treatment.

Many clients opt for a series of treatments about 6 weeks apart for optimal and cumulative results.

How long do Halo laser results last?

Your Halo results can last years, especially if you practice smart sun behavior (apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 every day, wear a hat, etc.) and stay consistent with an anti-aging skin-care regimen.

Halo vs. BroadBand Light (BBL): What’s the difference?

BroadBand Light is another facial rejuvenating treatment, but it uses intense pulse light therapy (IPL). The device emits photothermal energy, heating the upper layers of skin to address sun damage, brown spots, and visible blood vessels. A study in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology showed that BBL can actually slow down the aging process by restoring the gene expression of damaged skin (that means your skin’s DNA cells will act younger).

For some it can either/or between Halo and BBL, and the two are often compared; however, we can see amazing results and a serious “wow” factor by combining the treatments. Clients can benefit from BBL for vascularity and pigment but would get great results from the Halo for texture, pores, fine lines, and pigment changes. When done in the same appointment, BBL typically goes first, followed by Halo. The combo may extend the downtime of the Halo by a day or so.

Why we choose Halo?

At Revival, we proudly choose the Sciton Halo platform over Fraxel for our photofacial treatments. While both are effective, Halo stands out by combining ablative and non-ablative wavelengths, offering a unique dual-action approach that delivers superior results. This means you achieve more significant skin rejuvenation with minimal downtime compared to Fraxel. Halo’s advanced technology targets multiple skin concerns in one treatment, providing improved texture, tone, and overall appearance.

Morpheus 8

Morpheus 8 is an effective FDA-approved treatment to target sagging skin and pockets of fat on the body (including bra fat), as well as stretch marks and hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) in the underarms, hands, feet and groin area. As we age, our bodies produce less collagen and elastin and the skin loses its plump and firm appearance. This yields thinner skin which can be accompanied by sagging skin on the arms, elbows, over the knees and the pesky double chin. Morpheus 8 employs a matrix of micro needles to distribute fractionated RF energy to promote the natural production of collagen in the deep layers of the skin and destroy fat and/or treat sagging skin.

Laser Hair Reduction

The Lumenis LightSheer laser reduces hair density by targeting the pigment in hair follicles using a diode laser, the most effective type for both light and dark skin and hair. This fast and super effective laser permanently reduces hair growth and can be done anywhere on the face and body, even on darker skin types.

You can expect to need at least 6 treatments spaced anywhere from 2-8 weeks apart depending on the area. If you’ve had laser hair reduction in the past, we’re still here to help with maintenance or touch-up treatments and are sure you’ll see results that have exceeded prior experiences. We pride ourselves on making you feel comfortable and relaxed in what can sometimes feel like a very vulnerable space ;).
